How we actually work

Every contractor describes themselves the same way, so here is something more useful — the things we do differently, which you can hold us to.

We do not quote over the phone. A renovation price given without seeing the space is a guess, and guesses only ever get revised upward. We come out, look at the room, and give you a written scope that says what is included and what is not.

We open things up before we promise anything. Older housing stock around Clifton and Passaic County hides a lot — corroded supply lines, notched joists, rot around a failed seal, plaster that has let go of its lath. We would rather find it during demolition and price the fix than tile over it and let you find it in three years.

Changes get agreed before they happen. In writing, with a price, while you still have the option to say no. Surprises on a final invoice are how relationships end.

We will tell you when the answer is somebody else. Panel work, gas lines, main sewer problems — those belong with a licensed specialist, and we will say so rather than having a go.

You can read every one of them on our Google profile — nothing here is cherry-picked, and we have deliberately not marked those reviews up as our own ratings data.

Licensing and insurance

We are licensed and insured for the work we carry out, and we file permits and meet inspectors on the jobs that require it. Ask to see the paperwork — any contractor who hesitates at that question has told you something important.
